Trivia: The first Thanksgiving celebration occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621. The Plymouth Plantation was located in the southeastern portion of Massachusetts. This celebration was modeled after those, which were popular in contemporary Europe. Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general.
